AMHLL Pays Tribute to Martyrs in Langban Heikat Leikat Tamba Ceremony

Imphal/ October 09, 2023 (SPN) | The Apunba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup (AMHLL) paid tribute to the courageous martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland and observed the Langban Heikat Leikat Tamba ceremony at the Lup’s office in Sanggonsabi Nongmaiching Ching today.

Starting this year, the Apunba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup has chosen to commemorate the Heikat Leikat Tamba ceremony annually on October 8.

In a press statement issued by O. Mongyamba, Secretary of the Publicity and Information Department, it was mentioned that Okram Manglem Meetei, the President of Apunba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup, delivered a speech emphasizing the values of patriotism and the unwavering dedication of our esteemed ancestors.

Today’s ceremony was attended by General Secretary Sintakpa Sapam Inaobi, along with other members of the Lup. The event also featured a demonstration of Huyen Lanlong by the Lup’s students.

The Apunba manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup has been taking the initiative of introducing Thang Ta in schools across Manipur.
