All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) has launched an initiative to distribute textbooks to needy students from economically backward households.
In a bid to uplift the poor and needy sections of society, this philanthropic activity comes as a response to requests made by local clubs across the state to help students in need.
As part of this initiative, AMUCO is distributing textbooks to needy students for Classes I to X, as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM).
The distribution program was launched at AMUCO Head Office, attended by the organization’s Secretary General Dr Norendro Thokchom, Assistant Secretary N Lokendro, and executive member Santikumar.
AMUCO has informed that similar book distribution programs will be held in different parts of the state. This move will help reach out to a larger number of students from economically backward households who are in need of textbooks.
This initiative will enable more students to continue their studies without any hurdles. In response to requests made by certain orphan homes regarding the shortage of textbooks,
AMUCO has assured that measures have been taken to distribute textbooks for the inmates of these homes. This move will help orphan children to continue their education without any financial constraints.
