The nominations for the Latin American Music Awards 2023 were announced on March 13. Bad Bunny got 11 nominations, including artist of the year, song of the year, and album of the year at the Latin American Music Awards 2023.
The Latin AMAs’ eighth edition is scheduled to be held on Thursday, April 20, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Galilea Montijo and Julián Gil will co-host the award ceremony.
The Puerto Rican superstar is followed closely by Becky G and Daddy Yankee, each with nine nominations. Grupo Frontera, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Romeo Santos, and Rosalía all received eight nods at the Latin American Music Awards 2023.
Meanwhile, the best new artist category features Bizarrap, Blessd, Edén Muñoz, Grupo Frontera, Los Lara, Luis Figueroa, Luis R Conriquez, Quevedo, Santa Fe Klan, and Yahritza y Su Esencia.
TelevisaUnivision also revealed that Carlos Vives and Pepe Aguilar will be recognized as 2023 Latin AMAs Legacy honorees.
Starting at 7 p.m. ET, the Latin American Music Awards will be broadcast live on Univision, UNIMÁS, and Galavisión for the first time since its debut on Telemundo on October 8, 2015.
This comes after TelevisaUnivision obtained the rights from dick clark productions in September 2022.
This year’s nominations were based on streaming, sales, radio airplay, tours, and even social media interactions data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period, which was from February 12, 2022, to February 4, 2023.
Fans can vote for their favorite artists on Univision.com/LatinAMAs until Sunday, March 26.
Who will be the Artist of the year at Latin American Music Awards 2023:
Bad Bunny has received 11 nominations and has an impressive track record with three Grammy Awards, nine Latin Grammy Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, two American Music Awards, and thirteen Premios Lo Nuestro.
Becky G, with 9 nominations, has won one Billboard Latin Music Award, two American Music Awards, and four Latin American Music Awards, among many others.
Daddy Yankee, also with 9 nominations, has won five Latin Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, 14 Billboard Latin Music Awards, and two Latin American Music Awards.
Eslabón Armado, the Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year and Regional Mexican Album of the Year winner at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards is making waves in the music industry.
Farruko has received numerous awards and nominations, including two Billboard Latin Music Awards, two Latin Grammy Awards, and six Premios Lo Nuestro.
Ivan Cornejo‘s debut album Alma Vacia has peaked at number two on the US Billboard Regional Mexican Albums chart and number seven on the Top Latin Albums chart.
Karol G has received two Latin Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards, one American Music Award, and ten Lo Nuestro Awards.
Rauw Alejandro, with a Latin Grammy Award, a Latin American Music Award, and an MTV Millennial Award under his belt, has also been nominated for a Grammy Award.
Romeo Santos‘s songs have topped the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks charts and music charts in Europe, making him a global sensation.
Rosalía won two Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and an MTV Europe Music Award.
