RPF clarifies arrest details

April 27

NRFM urges that April 27 should not be taken lightly.

The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has made it clear that the organization and its armed unit, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), are not connected to the three individuals who were apprehended by the security forces on March 12th.

Bangkim, the assistant publicity secretary of RPF, issued a statement declaring that Ayekpam Abi (40) alias Rabi, and his elder brother Ayekpam Kumarjit (46), son of A Ibomcha from Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai Bini Leirak, were taken into custody by a joint team of Thoubal police commando and 16 AR on March 12th. The statement further stated that the RPF and PLA are not associated with them.

Furthermore, the statement also refuted any connection with Konjengbam Abinas (24) alias Ibungo, son of K Inaocha from Lairenjam Awang Leikai, who was also detained by the security forces on the same day.
