Starting Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be lit every day from 6 AM to 12 AM.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is located in the Rockefeller Center Plaza on 49th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be dressed in more than 50,000 LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski crystal star.

On Christmas day the tree is lit for 24 hours and on New Year’s Eve from 6 AM to 9 PM.

Three trees were lighted up at Rockefeller Center in 1942, to support WWII  troops, each decorated in red, white and blue.

The three-dimensional Swarovski star, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind in 2018, weighs approximately 900 pounds and features 70 points capped with 3 million crystals.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, believed to be between 85 and 90 years old, was donated by the Lebowitz family of Glen Falls.
