Yash Raj Films (YRF) has announced that February 17 will be celebrated as ‘Pathaan Day’ in cinema halls, slashing the ticket price of the movie to Rs. 110 across India.
Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan broke the records of Bahubali 2 in the Australian film market and the film is touching Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathaan’ continues to dominate at the box office. Released on January 25, the film has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in Indian cinema and is touching the Rs 1000 crore mark in theaters across the world.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a tweet, in which he mentioned remembering the fact that Pathaan has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in the domestic market. Also, now the makers are organizing ‘Pathaan Day’, where tickets for all the shows in India will be priced at just Rs.110 flat.
Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, says, “At YRF, we are proud that Pathaan is entertaining people across the globe, pulling people to the theatres, and giving them an experience of a lifetime! The YRF Spy Universe films have also registered blockbusters every single time. So, the stakes were high with Pathaan and we are thrilled to have delivered a film that has not only extended this feat of delivering hits but has also registered countless new records in the process. This is one for the ages for YRF and for the Indian film industry and we couldn’t be more humbled.”
In Australia, ‘Pathaan’ broke the record of ‘Bahubali 2’. The total earning of ‘Pathaan’ has been 963 crores worldwide. Siddharth Anand’s action thriller ‘Pathaan’ has broken the lifetime collection records of Dangal, KGF Chapter 2, The Kashmir Files, and many other films.
The film, which created a ruckus at the domestic box office, has now crossed the magical figure of 500 crores, setting a new record. Not only this, the film is just a few steps away from joining the club of 1000 crores worldwide.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ also stars John Abraham along with Deepika Padukone. Salman Khan’s surprise cameo appearance as Tiger in Pathaan is the major highlight of the movie.
‘Pathaan’ is in its third week. On Valentine’s Day, there has been a 45 percent increase in the earnings of ‘Pathaan’ in the Hindi version of the country.
As expected, on Valentine’s Day, couples made theaters a place for quality time and that’s why ‘Pathaan’ collected Rs 5.75 crore in the country from the Hindi version on Tuesday. The Pathaan Day on 17 February will surely make other records for the Pathaan.
Pathaan is the first Hindi film (Bollywood film) to defeat the Boycott Gang’s agenda. Before Pathaan, the Boycott Gang succeeded in making huge-budget films like Amir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha, Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan, etc. flopped.
Pathaan ranks as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, the second-highest-grossing Hindi film, and the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time, as well as the highest-grossing of Khan’s career and Yash Raj Films’ releases. This is also the highest-grossing opening weekend in the History of Hindi Cinema.
The film was made on an estimated production budget of ₹225 crores with a further ₹15 crore spent on print and advertising. YRF celebrating February 17 as ‘Pathaan Day’ by slashing tickets to Rs 110 is the biggest gift to Shahrukh Khan’s fans in the Country.
