Prime Minister Rozgar Mela in Manipur

Under the Prime Minister Rozgar Mela in Manipur, a total of 227 appointment letters were distributed by Union Minister of State for Education & External Affairs Dr.RK Ranjan Singh, at an event organised at Haflong Hall in Mantripukhri Garrison at Imphal on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering of the event, Dr. RK Ranjan said that the government gives highest priority in giving the opportunity to youth in the development of the nation.

Out of the 227 appointments distributed today under PM Rozgar Mela in Manipur, 171 were new recruits of Assam Rifles, 28 from Border Security Forces (BSF), 15 for SSB, six doctors for RIMS, three from CISF, two from ITBP and two for banks were given appointment letters.

Maj Gen Rajan Sharawat, VSM, IG Assam Rifles (South) who was also present at the event said that this initiative of the government will inspire the youth and give the right path and not get strayed.

DS Rawat, DIG, BSF and Naorem Indrakumar, Deputy Director, RIMS were also present at the function.

It may be mentioned that the PM Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Prime Minister Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in furthering employment generation and providing meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment as well as direct participation in national development. Earlier in October, 75,000 appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted appointees under Rozgar Mela.

The physical copies of the appointment letters to the new appointees were handed over at 45 locations across the country (except Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh). In addition to the categories of posts filled earlier, posts of teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, radiographers and other technical and paramedical posts are also being filled. A significant number of posts are being filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

What is Prime Minister Rozgar Mela?

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has announced in an official press conference to recruit 10th lakhs of youth for employment. PM Rozgar Mela 2022 is organized on 22nd October 2022 at 11:00 AM sharp via online mode. This initiative is taken by the National Skill Development Corporation under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship to provide employment to unemployed youngsters.

Around 75,000 employment letters will be handed to the youth from age 18th- 29th years to work in 38th ministries as central armed force personnel, sub inspectors, constables, lower-division clerks, steno, personal assistants, income tax officers, multi-tasking staff & many others.
