Imphal/October 01, 2023 (SPN) | Relief Committee JNISM expressed gratitude to the generous donors who were coming forward to help the inmates at the relief camps for treatment.
President Ngangbam Joykumar of the Manipur Sahitya Parishad in Assam has generously donated Rs 25,000 to the Relief Committee JNIMS. This committee has been tirelessly providing healthcare and first aid to those affected by the unfortunate outbreak of violence in Manipur on May 3.
The Regional Indigenous Forum for Peaceful Coexistence (RIFPCO) in Manipur has guided the members of the Parishad during their visit to meet the relief committee.
In addition to this, the compassionate staff nurse, Brojeshori, working at JNIMS, has contributed Rs 2,000 towards the treatment of the injured individuals affected by recent incidents.
Furthermore, RK Nongdrenkhomba Meetei, the leader of the BJP Manipur Pradesh OBC Morcha, has generously donated an additional Rs 30,000 to support the Relief Committee.
Notably, the former MLA of Wangoi AC, Oinam Lukhoi, has also made a charitable donation of Rs 5,000 to assist the Relief Committee at JNIMS.
Additionally, Dr. Indira, the CMO of Imphal East, and Dr. Hemanta from Khurai Thangal Leikai, have contributed medicines and essential first-aid supplies to the Relief Committee at JNIMS.
The Chairman of the Relief Committee JNIMS, Thoidingjam Bon, has reported that, thus far, they have spent Rs 7,40,975 in monetary assistance and Rs 5,10,000 worth of medicines.
This totals Rs 12,50,975, which has been used for the treatment of 1,754 patients from the relief camps and on-site locations.
