Royal Enfield shared the first official images of the 2024 Himalayan 452 with the public in early October 2023. The manufacturer announced that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be available for purchase starting on November 7, 2023.
The new Himalayan 452 will compete with formidable rivals, such as the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, KTM 390 Adventure, and Yezdi Adventure. Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 2.4 lakh to Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom), the official pricing will likely be unveiled at the 2023 Rider Mania, now named the Motoverse event.
Compared to the previous Himalayan 411 model, the updated Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be 3 kg lighter, with a final weight of 196 kg. This new motorcycle will feature a switchable Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 introduces a modernized instrument cluster, featuring an all-digital unit. Additionally, spoked rims are included in the design, and it’s possible that a higher-tier variant will offer tubeless spoked rims.
One of the most eagerly anticipated updates among Royal Enfield enthusiasts is the new 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This powerplant will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The new engine powering the Himalayan 452 produces 39.57bhp at 8,000rpm, with peak torque expected to fall within the 40-45Nm range. This four-valve motor will be paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The Himalayan 452, with a kerb weight of 196kg, enters the scene. With a 39.47bhp output from its liquid-cooled engine, the Himalayan 452 is anticipated to offer a robust power-to-weight ratio of 201.4bhp/tonne.
Aside from the kerb weight update, the Himalayan 452 will introduce a new ‘Kamet White’ paint scheme. While additional color options are on the horizon, specific details will be disclosed later.
