ABVP Demands Central Probe into Alleged Irregularities and Paper Leak in NEET-UG 2026

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded a fair, impartial, and time-bound investigation by central agencies into the alleged irregularities and paper leak in NEET-UG 2026 examination.

Expressing deep concern over media reports and updates from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and investigating agencies, the organisation said the developments have created widespread anxiety among lakhs of students and parents across the country.

ABVP emphasised that no compromise can be tolerated on the transparency, fairness, and credibility of national entrance examinations. The student body warned that if the question paper or related material was accessed by certain individuals before the exam, it would amount to a serious attack on the integrity of the examination system and cause grave injustice to the lakhs of sincere students who prepare with dedication for years.

The ABVP has urged the Central Government to entrust the probe to central investigating agencies and ensure strict action against all those found guilty, including examination mafias and any individuals who may have assisted them at any level. It has also asked the NTA to maintain complete transparency and regularly communicate facts to students and parents until the investigation is completed.

ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki stated that lakhs of students appear for exams like NEET after years of hard work and struggle, and any irregularity severely affects their morale and future. He stressed that the matter must be investigated fairly with no leniency towards the guilty.

Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki added that ABVP has long been demanding stronger technical security measures, stricter confidentiality of question papers, better monitoring of examination centres, and greater accountability in national-level examinations to prevent such incidents in the future.

Separately, ABVP Manipur State Secretary Gautam Philem said it is the responsibility of the authorities to ensure an accountable examination process and take strict action against any irregularities or individuals involved in malpractice, while ensuring justice for students whose future and trust are at stake.

The ABVP has assured students and parents that it will continue to raise its voice for their interests and for a transparent and credible examination system.
