African Swine Fever (ASF) has been detected at Hiyanglam Makha Leikai, Kakching district, compelling Deputy Commissioner Kakching Salam Somorjit to issue an order on Saturday for restriction of selling pigs within one Kilometer from the Pig Breeding Farm, Hiyanglam.
Specialist of Pig Breeding Farm, Hiyanglam Dr. Heisnam conveyed that 14 piglets were imported from the United Kingdom in the year 2021 by the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department, however, one piglet died on the way to Manipur.
