In his presidential address, Dr. Nambram Amulkumar, Head, DVSSD, Manipur University, outlined the broader vision of skill development and the Department’s initiatives to promote entrepreneurship among young people.

He stressed the importance of involving students in skill building activities that could enable them to become job creators rather than merely job seekers. He also congratulated the faculty members of the Department for their contributions towards facilitating placements for students in India and abroad.

Following the World Youth Skills Day observance, the Department organised a Faculty Enrichment Programme on “Teaching, Learning and Assessment Process” for its faculty members.

The programme, attended by 30 faculty members, provided a platform for constructive deliberations on contemporary teaching methodologies, academic planning, question paper setting and other issues related to strengthening the teaching and learning process within the Department.

The observance brought together students, educators, industry professionals and academic leaders to deliberate on the changing skills environment and the competencies required to build a shared future.

The discussions highlighted the importance of adaptability, creativity, communication, collaboration, self awareness and entrepreneurial thinking in preparing young people for emerging opportunities and challenges.

The Faculty Enrichment Programme further reinforced the Department’s commitment to continuous academic improvement and excellence in teaching, learning and assessment practices.
