Imphal, July 24, 2026: Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), Imphal, has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Miranda House, University of Delhi, to strengthen academic cooperation, research collaboration and institutional exchange between the two institutions.

The partnership aims to strengthen academic ties between Manipur and the national capital by promoting joint academic programmes, faculty exchange, student mobility and interdisciplinary research.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Miranda House campus in Delhi in the presence of the DMU Vice-Chancellor, Miranda House Principal Prof. Bijayalaxmi Nanda, the DMU Registrar, a Dean of DMU, Dr. Geetanjali Elangbam of the Department of Botany, Miranda House, and officials from both institutions and the State Government.

On the same occasion, DMU and the Department of Botany, Miranda House, exchanged a Letter of Intent to promote collaboration in botanical research, environmental studies and sustainable practices.

The focused collaboration is expected to facilitate joint field studies, sharing of academic and research resources, specialised workshops and other activities in areas of mutual interest.

Officials described the agreement as a strategic partnership aimed at bridging the geographical distance between Manipur and the national capital through a strong framework for academic synergy and institutional cooperation.

The collaboration is also expected to expand DMU’s national academic presence and provide greater opportunities for its students and faculty members in innovation, research, academic mobility and institutional development.

The agreement marks an important step in DMU’s efforts to build partnerships with leading institutions across the country and strengthen its academic and research ecosystem.
