The Imphal East District United Clubs’ Organisation (IEDUCO) held a free eye camp and distribution of spectacles at The United Clubs in Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai on April 8, 2023.
The event was supported by The United Clubs and supervised by the All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO).
The initiative is part of IEDUCO’s efforts to organize eye camps in four localities in Imphal East. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including K Helen, Vice President of AMUCO, as the chief guest.
Secretary Publicity Laishram Krishnachandra, Dr. M. Ranjana Asst. Professor, Ophthalmology Department, JNIMS, T. Dwijo Mangang President IEDUCO, and L. Jayanta, President of The United Clubs’ Organisation and Guest of Honor and President of the eye camp.
A total of 150 individuals received treatment at the free eye camp and were provided with free spectacles.
The eye camp was organized in collaboration with the JNIMS Ophthalmology Department and National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB & IV) National Health Mission, Manipur.
These camps will provide much-needed healthcare services to the local community and contribute to the overall well-being of the people.
