A special meeting was held by the All Manipur United Fish Farmers’ Association (AMUFFA) to form the Imphal East District United Fish Farmers’ Association at Bal Bidya Mandir Higher Secondary School in Kongpal today.
The meeting was attended by Bimolchandra, President of AMUFFA, and Dr. Norendro Thokchom, Secretary General of AMUCO, along with his team.
The primary goal of the new union is to promote fishery and increase fish production in the state of Manipur.
The Imphal East District United Fish Farmers’ Association is a sub-unit of the All Manipur United Fish Farmers’ Association. Lairikyengbam Bimol was chosen as the President of the Association.
The union aims to bring together fish farmers from across the district and provide them with a platform to discuss issues, share knowledge, and collectively work toward improving the fisheries sector.
