A 50-member contingent from Manipur University will represent the state at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, integrated with the 29th National Youth Festival, scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 9 to 12, 2026.
A send-off ceremony for the delegation is set to be held on January 8, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal. The event will be graced by Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, Canchipur.
The contingent is scheduled to depart for Delhi at 3:05 PM on the same day.The Manipur team comprises participants across multiple tracks:
- Cultural Track — 30 members (24 participants and 6 contingent team leaders)
- Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue — 18 members (15 participants and 3 contingent team leaders)
- Hack for Social Cause (HSC) Track — 2 members
The VBYLD 2026, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as part of the restructured National Youth Festival, aims to engage young leaders aged 15-29 in nation-building dialogues and activities, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
All concerned officials and participants have been urged to attend the send-off ceremony on time.The notice was issued by Dr. Laishram Santosh Singh, Nodal Officer for Viksit Bharat and Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Manipur University.
