The Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs’ Organisation (SLUCO), along with the Kyamgei Khagemba Youth Club, organized a Free Eye Camp in Kyamgei Mayai Leikai, Imphal West District, on November 19, 2023.

This initiative, guided by the All Manipur United Club’s Organisation (AMUCO) and supported by Yaima Eye Hospital from Khagempalli Pankha Huidrom Leikai, aimed to help the community with eye care. Starting at 9:00 AM today, the camp provided eye care services to almost 200 local residents, offering free spectacles to around 75 individuals after their treatments.

SLUCO and the Kyamgei Khagemba Youth Club which are apex Organisations of Imphal West District United Clubs’ Organisation (IWDUCO) thanked the doctor and staff from Yaima Eye Hospital for their excellent service to the community. Nando Luwang, President of AMUCO, mentioned that the organization has held more than 30 free eye camps, assisting over 4000 individuals with medical treatment. He emphasized the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and advised seeking medical help at the first signs of any eye issues.

During the camp, AMUCO’s Vice President MM Thambou, Secretary Publicity Laishram Krishnachandra, Secretary Organisation Santosh Koijam, Assistant Finance Secretary T. Momocha, Executive member M. Lenin Maibam Thabi, and YOFFS member Thomas were also present to support the free eye camp.
