Last Updated on October 3, 2023 by SPN Editor

The 2023 CMT Music Awards winners have been announced! Lainey Wilson received four nominations, including Performance of the Year and Female Video of the Year.

She was followed by three artists who tied for second place: Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, and CMT Music Awards co-host Kane Brown.

Brown and his wife, Katelyn, made history as they became the first-ever married couple to win Video of the Year for their hit “Thank God.”

Jelly Roll took home several awards, including Male Breakthrough Video of the Year.

Lainey Wilson, a country singer, won her first-ever CMT award on Sunday for the Collaborative Video of the Year category for the song “wait in the truck” which she sang with HARDY.

In the female video of the year category at CMT Music Awards this year, 7 nominations were entered. Lainey Wilson met Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Maren Morris in the award for the female video of the year.

In their acceptance speech, HARDY thanked the team and the director for the music video. Wilson expressed her gratitude to be a part of the now award-winning track and praised the song for its powerful message.

She also thanked HARDY for the opportunity and love. Wilson received three other nominations at this year’s ceremony and six nominations at the 2022 CMA Awards.
