The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) today clarified that the 7 individuals , which the State police claimed arrested as cadres of PLA on August 14 by combined team of Thoubal Police Commando and the 16 Assam Rifles are not related and have nothing to do with the activities of RPF or its armed wing PLA.
A press statement by Bangkim, Assistant Secretary, Publicity RPF said that the 7 individuals – Chingakham Basanta (38) @Khambaton, son of Chingakham Ningthembi of Andro Khuman Nungyumbi; Moirangthem Jitesh (22), son of Moirangthem Manjit of Kakching Ningthou Leikai; Kongjengbam Romio (28), son of Kongjengbam Raghu of Moirang Kongjengbam Maning Leikai, presently staying at Awang Sekmai Koujengleima; Phanjoubam Rabi (26) @Luwangngamba, son of Phanjoubam Kula of Andro Labaojam Ching Leikai;Salam Mangijao (55), son of Late Salam Tombi of Kakching Wairi Salam Leikai; Naorem Manoj (23) , son of Naorem Nobin of Luker Mayai Leikai and Samurailatpam Akas @Muston(19), son of Samurailatpam Rajesor of Kakching Wairi Saban Bamon Leikai are not related with the RPF or its army wing PLA.
