It is indeed a proud moment for every Manipuri that Thounaojam Strela Luwang has won two sub-contests in the Femina Miss India 2023 Awards Night.
A few months ago, there were rumors that the state had failed to gather models for the audition round. However, the event was held on March 22 at the Time Virtual Studio in Vile Parle, Mumbai, and Strela from Manipur emerged victorious in two sub-contests.
Strela hails from the serene beauty of Manipur and pursued International Business studies with zeal and compassion.
She was crowned Miss Manipur in 2017 and aims to work on issues involving animal safety and elderly people.
At the Awards Night on Wednesday, Strela won Colorbar Miss Glamourous Look and Trends Miss Style Icon sub contests.
Strela had auditioned twice for Miss India before but didn’t get through. However, her hard work, dedication, belief, tears, and sweat paid off, and she made it to the state title as Femina Miss India Manipur 2023.
Anushka Lekharu from Assam also won the Manipur Tourism Eco Warrior sub-contest in Femina Miss India 2023. She is an avid reader, passionate traveler, foodie, and trained classical singer.
Anushka entered the beauty pageants field at the age of 16 and won the title of Miss Assam in 2015. She went on to compete in several other beauty pageants in the Northeast, holding multiple titles that further boosted her confidence in Miss India.
The grand final of Femina Miss India 2023 will be held on April 15 in Imphal, Manipur, and is co-presented by VLCC & Trends and hosted by Manipur Tourism, co-powered by ORRA Fine Jewellery, makeup partner Colorbar Made for Magic & co-powered by Rajnigandha Pearls.
