The chief minister’s assurance comes in the wake of the recent landslide catastrophe at took place at Makhuam village in Noney district, Manipur.

The massive landslide hit the NF Railway worksite and the Indian Army company location atop a hill at Makhuam village on the intervening night of June 29-30. As many as 79 people were affected.

So far, 18 people have been rescued alive and 47 bodies have been recovered. Several of them were with the 107 Indian Territorial Army. A total of 14 others remained missing till date.
