Imphal (SPN) | All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) in collaboration with the United Rehabilitation Centre (URC) and the Department of Psychiatry, RIMS organized a one-day training program for rehabilitation staff on “DOs & DONTs of Addiction Management” at Dr. Kamal Hall, Department of Psychiatry, RIMS yesterday.
The event was attended by Ph. Nando Luwang, president of AMUCO; Dr. Gojen, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, RIMS; Prof. Dr. Lenin, RIMS and URC president Pushpakanta as presidium members.
During the event, Ph. Nando Luwang shared that due to the increasing cases of drug addiction among youths, several private rehabilitation centers have been established in the state to provide proper care for addicts.
“Considering the importance of Rehabilitation Centers, the training program was conducted to provide proper training to the staff of such centers,” he added.
Nando further urged the staff of private rehabilitation centers to treat drug users with respect, compassion, and care so that they can become productive members of society.
