BABINA Group CMD Dr Thangjam Dhabali donates 15 copies of ‘Microscope to Milestones’ to the university community on Hijam Irabot’s 130th Birth Anniversary
IMPHAL, September 30: A professional journey that began with pathology and travelled beyond the laboratory has now found a place among readers at Manipur University.
Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of the BABINA Group of Companies, donated 15 copies of his book, Microscope to Milestones: A Pathologist’s Journey Beyond the Lab, to the University on Wednesday.
The copies were handed over to Dr. Kshetrimayum Narayan Singh, President of the Manipur University Teachers’ Association (MUTA), making the book available as a reading resource for students, teachers, researchers and other members of the University community.
The contribution was made on the 130th Birth Anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot, giving the initiative a connection with a day dedicated to remembering one of Manipur’s most prominent historical figures.
Rather than being confined to Dr. Dhabali Singh’s work as a pathologist, Microscope to Milestones looks at his journey and experiences beyond the laboratory.
Its availability at the University gives young readers and researchers an opportunity to engage with the experiences and reflections of a professional whose career has moved across medicine and entrepreneurship.

MUTA welcomed the contribution and expressed appreciation to Dr. Dhabali Singh for making the copies available to the University community.

The donation comes at a time when universities continue to look beyond prescribed textbooks to encourage wider reading and exposure to professional experiences.
