Amit Shah keeps his word to Churachandpur voters

Last Updated on February 17, 2023 by SPN Editor

In 2020, Amit Shah laid the foundation stones for Churachandpur Medical College at the cost of Rs. 325 crores. He said that the college would have the capacity to produce 100 doctors every year and they would be able to render their service in different parts of the State. Again in 2022, he promised the Churachandpur voters about various district development.

On 6th January, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Medical college in Churachandpur. Besides, it is expected that Churachandpur voters will get more development projects and schemes. The Churachandpur Medical College is the first medical institute in the hill districts of Manipur. With about a hundred students, the institute started class a few months back.

Churachandpur is happy with the ongoing developments in the district. Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Churachandpur for the inauguration of Churachandpur Medical College on Jan 6, a mass social work was held along IB Road, Tipaimukh, and Tiddim Roads on Wednesday by personnel of Churachandpur Police, 1st IRB, Subsidiary Training Centre (STC)/BSF, Autonomous District Council, Churachandpur, Divisional Forest Office with job card holders of adjoining localities.

Drains, garbage, roads, etc were cleaned up during the social work held today under the supervision of ADC(D) Khaikhopau Ngaihte. In fact, Churachandpur voters are ready to welcome Amit Shah once again in the town.

The tourism attraction at Chivu Chandrakirti Memorial Park and the Manipur Southern Cultural Centre at Behiang in Churachandpur district will attract more tourists, which will boost the local economy of the people.

CM Biren is also turning every stone to satisfy the Churachandpur voters. He has laid the foundation stone for the upgradation/improvement work of the Henglep Thingkhew Tipaimukh Road.

The BJP govt has sanctioned Rs 115.39 Crores for this road project would provide better connectivity of Henglep Sub-Division with the District Headquarters.

Moreover, the 11.15 Km double-lane Churachandpur-Tuivai road which will connect Manipur and Mizoram with a total Project Cost of Rs 114.68 crore is also expected to be completed this year.

Let us not forget that peace and development cannot be achieved when the idea of alienating the State and Nation exist. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured that the Biren government will end the Kuki militancy problem within 5 years.

Among the hill districts, BJP govt is showing much attention and we hope peace and development will be the only buzzword in this district. Churachandpur voters must trust the State and Central leadership in the days to come.
